Not necessarily. A filter needs service and backwash sequencing, while a softener also needs brine draw, slow rinse, and refill. Match the valve body, controller, cam or flapper, injector, drain-flow control, and program to the approved duty.

When should I choose time-clock or metered-demand control?

Time-clock control can suit a stable operating schedule and load. Metered-demand control is more relevant when softener demand varies because the controller uses measured volume and reserve. Both still require correct resin capacity, salt dose, and calendar-override settings.

What information is needed for an Autotrol quotation?
