DuPont FilmTec SW30 Seawater RO Membranes
Select DuPont FilmTec SW30 seawater RO membranes by salinity, permeate target, recovery, pressure, pretreatment, and pressure-vessel configuration in Indonesia.
Short answer
PT Watermart Perkasa, operating at water.co.id, supplies DuPont FilmTec SW30 seawater RO membranes in Indonesia for desalination projects, retrofits, and element replacement. Select SW30-2521, SW30-2540, SW30-4040, or SW30HRLE-400 from feed salinity, permeate target, recovery, pressure, pressure-vessel size, and pretreatment capability—not from the datasheet GPD figure alone.
The flow and salt-rejection figures below are manufacturer test results under stated conditions, not guaranteed site output. Actual performance varies with temperature, salinity, recovery, fouling, scaling, pressure drop, and system configuration. Updated 22 July 2026.

SW30-2521, SW30-2540, SW30-4040, or SW30HRLE-400?
Match the installed vessel diameter and length first, then compare capacity under equivalent test conditions. SW30-2521 and SW30-2540 fit nominal 2.5-inch vessels; SW30-4040 fits a nominal 4-inch vessel; SW30HRLE-400 is an 8-inch element for larger municipal or industrial designs.
| Model | Nominal size | Test permeate flow | Stabilized salt rejection | Initial fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FilmTec SW30-2521 | 2.5 × 21 inches | 300 GPD (1.1 m³/day) | 99.4% | Small or modular skid |
| FilmTec SW30-2540 | 2.5 × 40 inches | 700 GPD (2.6 m³/day) | 99.7% | Small commercial system with a 2.5-inch vessel |
| FilmTec SW30-4040 | 4 × 40 inches | 1,950 GPD (7.4 m³/day) | 99.7% | Commercial system with a 4-inch vessel |
| FilmTec SW30HRLE-400 | 8 × 40 inches | 7,500 GPD (28 m³/day) | 99.8% | Municipal or industrial desalination |
SW30-2521, SW30-2540, and SW30-4040 data use 32,000 ppm NaCl, 25°C, and 800 psi; test recovery varies by element size. SW30HRLE-400 data use 32,000 ppm NaCl, 5 ppm boron, 25°C, 800 psi, pH 8, and 8% recovery. Check the FilmTec SW30 data sheet and SW30HRLE-400 data sheet before fixing the design.
What project data is needed to select an SWRO membrane?
The minimum data set is a feed-water analysis, product-water target, peak and daily flow, recovery, pressure, vessel configuration, pretreatment design, and concentrate-disposal route. Watermart uses these inputs to check the element against Codeline pressure vessels and other RO system components.
| Project data | Decision affected |
|---|---|
| Salinity/TDS, temperature, pH, and seasonal variation | Osmotic pressure, projected flow, and element choice |
| Permeate flow and quality target | Element count, staging, recovery, and post-treatment |
| SDI, turbidity, microbiology, iron, manganese, and scaling potential | Pretreatment, cartridge filtration, dosing, and CIP requirements |
| Vessel diameter, length, element count, and pressure | Mechanical fit and operating limits |
| Space, power, intake, and concentrate route | Installation and operating feasibility |
For brackish or municipal feedwater, use an element tested for that feed; DuPont TapTec LC HF-4040 is a 4-inch commercial RO element, not a seawater membrane. See the complete treatment sequence on the desalination application page.
When may SWRO product water be used as drinking water?
A membrane alone does not make water ready to drink. The system requires commissioning, sanitation, flushing, pressure and flow records, appropriate remineralization or post-treatment, representative sampling, and laboratory verification against applicable Indonesian drinking-water requirements before water is distributed for consumption.
Buyer questions about FilmTec SW30 membranes
Can SW30-4040 directly replace SW30-2540?
No. Their diameters differ: SW30-4040 uses a nominal 4-inch vessel, while SW30-2540 uses a nominal 2.5-inch vessel. Confirm length, adapters, brine seal, pressure, and design data before replacing an element.
Will SW30-4040 always produce 1,950 GPD on site?
Not necessarily. That figure comes from manufacturer test conditions. A site projection must account for salinity, temperature, pressure, recovery, fouling, scaling, and element age.
What should I send with a quotation request?
Send a photo of the existing element label, water analysis, target permeate flow and quality, pressure, recovery, vessel configuration, pretreatment, pump voltage, project location, and operating history to Watermart.
