Pentair’s material estimates a 6-12 month cartridge life, but the actual interval depends on water quality and use. The faucet is sold separately. Pentair describes UF as a pressure-driven membrane process that retains material by size; UF does not replace RO for dissolved salts.

Pentair Everpure PBS-400

The PBS-400 is a full-flow under-sink system with a quick-change metal-canister cartridge. Pentair’s official specification sheet lists 0.5-micron mechanical filtration, NSF/ANSI 53 certification for mechanical cyst reduction, and NSF/ANSI 401 certification for specified contaminants in its performance data sheet. Pentair’s product page lists a 2.2 gpm flow and a 3,000-gallon capacity.

Certified products must still be operated within their performance data sheets. Do not use the unit on microbiologically unsafe water or water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

Hotels and Apartments

POU filtration can provide water at the point of use without delivering single-use bottles to every room. Technical and economic suitability still depends on water testing, room or unit count, occupancy, consumption, cartridge replacement, faucet and reusable-bottle sanitation, and water-quality monitoring. Equipment selection alone does not make water ready to drink. A hotel or apartment programme must meet applicable Indonesian drinking-water requirements, include commissioning and sanitation, log consumable changes, collect representative samples, and verify treated water through laboratory testing.

EU-25 and PBS-400 FAQ

Does EU-25 or PBS-400 reduce TDS?

Neither is the primary choice for reducing dissolved salts or TDS. When test results and the treated-water target require dissolved-solids reduction, compare them with the ES60-S under-sink RO system and account for RO reject water.

When should the cartridge be replaced?

Use the product capacity and interval as a starting point, then adjust for actual water volume, inlet quality, flow decline, pressure, and sanitation records. Do not wait for a change in taste or odour as the only replacement signal.

What information is needed for a hotel or apartment quotation?

Prepare water-test results, pressure and peak flow, number of drinking points, occupancy, under-sink space, treated-water target, sanitation ownership, and the sampling plan. These inputs support a realistic comparison of consumable and maintenance cost per point.
